YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS.

Advocacy • Collaboration • Community Service • Summit Gatherings

TRACTION believes in the power of belonging.

We believe in the healing that comes from living authentically and in the solidarity found in community building and collaboration.

In the past year, with your help:

  • TRACTION’s Project Open Arms alone has connected with more than 332 trans+ people & families, conducted 216 intakes, helped 68 people move to a safer state, and assisted 13 recent arrivals.
  • The Trans Liberation NewsSource (TLN) produced 5 episodes of Trans Heartbeat and gained hundreds of new followers on social media.
  • The Vote 4 Trans Liberation team collaborated on 4 events to help Queer the Vote, hosted a rally at Cal Anderson Park, and sent more than 200 postcards to swing-state voters.
  • Trans Pride 365 community calendar shared events and activities from more than 100 groups and organizations across the state and beyond.

Join us in the quest for trans+ liberation. Together, we will resist the forces against us and deepen our resolve toward liberation.

THANK YOU for your support.

TRACTION’s mission is to cultivate connection and visibility for transgender and gender-diverse people through service in support of underserved communities.

Trans

We are focused on the trans community, which includes Two-Spirit, trans+, nonbinary, questioning, agender, and the many other words we use to define our gender. We are also allies, friends, and family members who embrace gender authenticity.

Community

TRACTION stands in solidarity with all BIPOC people and communities, especially women, migrants, sex workers, and youth.  [more]

The TRACTION board of directors is 100% non-cisgender people, and majority BIPOC.

Action

To make the world a better place, we must make it better for ourselves. Our goal is to cultivate a body of members eager to offer our volunteer power to collaborate with other organizations and assist underserved populations. In doing this, we increase trans visibility and affirmation within the broader community while helping those in need.
