LOUDER THAN HATE: Trans & Queer Joy as Resistance

On Sat, Aug 30, Washington Hall will transform into a living, breathing expression of Black, Trans & Queer liberation.

From 4–9 PM, A collective group of community partners are creating a space where joy isn’t just a celebration — it’s a strategy. In the face of rising criminalization, hateful rhetoric, and systemic violence, we refuse to be silent, erased, or divided.

• Interactive art & space for healing
• Food, music & community connection
• Safety rooted in care, not policing

When systems try to cage us, we take the streets. When they try to erase us, we make ourselves unforgettable. This isn’t about asking for recognition — it’s about claiming space, honoring our people, and moving toward a future of safety, dignity & freedom.
