Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil
November 20, 2023 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm PST
FreeOn Trans Day of Remembrance, we come together to honor, mourn, and remember our Trans siblings lost to transphobic violence over the past year.
This event will be co-hosted by Grand Rapids Pride Center, Grand Rapids Trans Foundation, and GVSU’s Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center, and will feature a vigil, a reading of names of those we have lost this past year, a remembrance altar, as well as a short program featuring guest speakers and a musician from the local Trans community.
Emotional and mental health resources (and space) will be available. There will be space for socializing and connecting with other attendees following the program.
We will also be collecting donations for the Trans Sistas of Color Project Detroit.
