Join Us at the Summit!

TRACTION’s summits are celebratory intergenerational events for all those embracing gender authenticity, featuring trans-supporting and trans-led community partners, vendors. discussions, speakers, resources, art, entertainment, and YOU! Our summits are designed with the purpose of building community, recruiting new members, raising awareness of allied organizations, and simply having fun.

Our inaugural 2019 summit, Emerge!, was an afternoon and evening of connection and camaraderie. Attendees engaged with 15 community organizations and businesses at our vendor fair while listening to open mic and creating origami to add to our community mobile. Our keynote leadership panel of trans POC community activists set an inspiring tone for our community and the change we are manifesting.

Also during the afternoon, the POC and TransParents affinity caucuses were particularly popular. An incredible evening of entertainment (vogue, spoken word, and three musical artists) led by the fabulous emcee Michelle Matlock followed a delicious Mexican-themed community dinner. The energy and excitement was palpable, as well as the shared interest in and care for the well-being of our collective trans family.
