At TRACTION, we hold a set of core organizational values that guide our work and shape our impact on the trans and gender-diverse community.

Land Acknowledgment

Although we are a virtual organization, TRACTION acknowledges that we exist and operate on the unceded, ancestral lands of the Puyallup Tribe, Tulalip Tribes, Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe, the Stillaguamish Tribe of Indians, the Coast Salish and Duwamish peoples, and many more.

We respect their sovereignty and express our deepest gratitude for their enduring care and protection of these shared lands and waterways.

Anti-Racism Solidarity Statement

TRACTION acknowledges the social, cultural, and organizational structures that are rooted in racism. We are committed to further educating ourselves; to listening to BIPOC queer and trans leaders and peers who have agreed to walk with us; and to using our learnings, privileges, and resources to oppose racism and take action against it.

Black lives matter. Black trans lives matter. Black trans voices matter.

We also stand in solidarity with Two-Spirit and Indigenous queer and trans+ communities, especially with murdered and missing women and femmes of color.

Visibility

We strive to increase visibility for the trans and gender-diverse community. Through our efforts, we aim to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and create a more inclusive society that recognizes and respects the experiences and contributions of all.

Accessibility
